Professional Journey and Philosophy

Life Experience and Perspective

My life journey has carried me across diverse landscapes: from the serene shores of Prince Edward Island, the expansive plains of eastern Colorado, and the mountainous regions of Denver, to the sun-drenched desert hills of Palm Springs. Through these varied environments, I developed a deep appreciation for the unique ways people create and nurture their home life.

Hospitality Career

My career in hospitality began at the historic Brown Palace, a century-old, five-star hotel in Denver. Starting as a dining room attendant, I eventually became a Sommelier in the Private Club, guided throughout by a Maître d’ who served as my mentor. Under their leadership, I learned that wealth does not define character, but it does demand respect and loyalty. Anticipating guests’ needs—even before they voiced them—and delivering with efficiency became foundational principles for me.

Transition to Interior Design

These lessons translated seamlessly into my work in interior design. In Palm Springs, I had the distinct privilege of serving as a private butler for Suzanne Sommers, and I also worked in luxury hotel settings, including private villas at the Hyatt Grand Champion Indian Wells. After years immersed in all facets of hospitality, a major turning point arrived in 1995, prompting me to shift my professional focus.

Education and Professional Affiliations

In 2004, I graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design as a Trustee Scholar from the Interior Design Department. I am honored to be an Allied Member of ASID, IDS, and NKBA.

Long-Term Client Relationships

My career has been marked by rewarding, long-term relationships with clients whose homes span Florida, Canada, and other states. I take genuine joy in helping individuals realize their dreams, shaping spaces they could not have imagined without my guidance.
